A "Marry" Day

When your little sister grows up and gets married, it's a strange thing to behold. Although Michelle's not my sister "in-the-flesh", I have known her since she was six years old. In my late teens and early twenties, she was my little companion and very much the little sister I never had. Thinking back, I never thought her wedding day would come so fast. Perhaps, it only feels unusual because it reminds me of the reality that I am growing old.

However, we couldn't be happier over her choice of husband. Ross is a great guy. He is her perfect match. It is nice to see good friends marrying other good friends. It is even more satisfying to see good friends with good families marrying good friends with good families.

What should have been a glorious October wedding day at Cabell's Mill turned out to be a cold and dreary day. However, sitting inside the tented terrace decorated with pink and white tissue paper flowers and lanterns, you wouldn't know it. The warmth of the occasion just made the weather outside a forgotten thought.
